Two Central Queensland men have become multi-millionaires after each scoring a winning entry to Saturday’s Gold Lotto draw.
The region has now had five division one wins this year worth a total of $30.6 million, including the two men who each won $2 million.
One of the winners, a Gladstone man, says he is looking forward to upgrading his retirement plan.
“It’s come at a really good time,” he says.
“We can look forward to retiring and enjoying life. We can sit back, start making plans and wait for the money to hit the bank account.
“I play the same numbers every time I play Gold Lotto. I’ve had a bit of luck with those numbers in the past, so I thought I’d keep playing them.”
The other man, from Rockhampton, says he is still struggling to believe his win is real.
“I feel like you’re pulling my leg. Mate, I don’t believe this,” he’s told officials from The Lott.
“This is bloody good news, but it won’t sink in for a while.”
The man in his 30s says he will use the money for home renovations.
