A motorbike rider has been flown to hospital after a crash on dirt tracks, south east of Mount Morgan.
The RACQ CapRescue crew was called to the scene at Fletcher Creek around 10am on Monday, after the man reportedly lost control of his bike while navigating a ridgeline.
Queensland Ambulance Service paramedics initially treated the patient for suspected spinal injuries.
On arrival, the Rescue300 chopper discovered landing was not possible due to the terrain.
As a result, the critical care paramedic and rescue crewman were winched down to the scene.
The patient was then assessed and stabilised before being winched aboard the helicopter.
He was then airlifted to Rockhampton Hospital for further scans and treatment.
It was the first of two missions for the rescue chopper yesterday.
Later that afternoon, the crew was called to the Burnett Highway near Goovigen, after a woman in her late twenties crashed into a tree at high speed around 2.35pm.
Queensland Fire and Emergency Services had to free the patient from the vehicle.
She was treated for suspected upper chest injuries before being flown to Rockhampton Hospital in a serious but stable condition.
