Police are calling for three women to contact them after they assisted a man who had been assaulted at Townsville City.
On August 6, a 27-year-old man and 28-year-old man were walking from Flinders Street along Sir Leslie Thiess Drive.
A man approached them from behind and coward punched the 28-year-old Goovigen man in the side of the head, causing him to fall to the ground.
He was assisted by three women, aged between 19 to 25, who may be able to help police with the investigation.
The man was transported to Townsville University Hospital and underwent surgery for a broken jaw.
Investigators would like to speak to the three women and are urging them to contact police.
The investigation is continuing.
