A woman has been airlifted to hospital after a snorkelling incident off Heron Island.
It’s believed she ingested a significant amount of water, after some complications while swimming at around 8.00am yesterday.
The intrastate traveller was initially treated by the Island Nurse.

The RACQ CapRescue Helicopter left base at around 9.00am.
The woman in her 60s was stabilised and flown to Rockhampton Hospital by the RACQ CapRescue crew, for further observation.
